The near-perfect layout of the venue has played an important role in the popularity of Glasgow's Sub Club. The enduring appeal is aided by a low-ceiling, DJ booth near level with the dance-floor and an pristine sound-system which consistently provides the ideal backdrop for a loyal, clued-up crowd.
Nic Fanciulli returns to Glasgow for this first time in 3 years, making his début appearance in the Sub Club with Slam.
Nic Fanciulli is a DJ, producer and label owner who has remained one of the UK's finest exports in electronic music throughout the last decade. Working with a diverse range of artists over his career, including Tracey Thorn, Underworld, Kylie Minogue, Loco Dice & Josh Wink, Nic has managed to attain a skilfully balanced output of music for both club and home.
Fanciulli's Saved Records is his most notable achievement so far. The imprint has been releasing underground house and techno from breakthrough artists and scene stalwarts for 7 years now and shows no signs of slowing down. Saved has become a global brand recognised not only for its quality output, but also for their legendary label parties.
After their appearance at the Slam Tent, TITP, and a succession of top-ten busting releases, including tracks and remixes on Drumcode, Planet E and of course their Soma & Paragraph imprints, Stuart & Orde have been striving forward at a relentless pace. Even with gigs across the world, one of the best places to see Slam at their best is undoubtedly Glasgow's Sub Club.
