The near-perfect layout of the venue has played an important role in the popularity of Glasgow's Sub Club. The enduring appeal is aided by a low-ceiling, DJ booth near level with the dance-floor and an pristine sound-system which consistently provides the ideal backdrop for a loyal, clued-up crowd.
Powered by a massive array of analogue synthesizers, with no internet presence and no laptops, SILK CUT have been building a truly underground profile in the run up to their first vinyl release on Taktal. For the their Sub Club debut, the duo will unleash fearsome-jacking rhythms in preparation for the End Times.
Using Primitive machines found in the crumbling ruins of an ancient nightclub (carved with runes: Korg, Roland & Yamaha), Silk Cut will sequence their jams using a flawless black diamond forged in the centre of the Earth, a gift from a mysterious multi-headed creature known as Jack.
This is glacier-melting, consciousness-shifting, coming-of-the-Rapture house music, fused with the awesome power of the legendary Bodysonic Sound System.
