Brooklyn born Jimmy started to fiddle with the knobs and faders of the mixer back in the late 90's after he fell helplessly in love with house and techno. Growing up in NYC meant he was able to experience some of the most legendary clubs such as Vinyl, Twilo, and Tunnel. Those late nights/early mornings had a huge influence on the way he plays his music. Much like the old school New York DJs, Jimmy doesn't limit himself to a single sound or time, his genre crossing sets include elements of soulful house, groovy disco, dark techno and everything in between.
Bas started DJing in 1999, moved to LA in 2005 and has played all over the city. Hooking up with the Droog crew some time after that through Justin Sloe, he's been in with them ever since. Helping launch the Culprit label 2008, he also assists with the Culprit web promotions, and has since enjoyed being a Culprit resident at the infamous Culprit Sessions both atop The Standard rooftop and tucked away in various Hollywood hot spots.
Together Bas and Jimmy have held residencies at Avalon, The Vanguard, The Standard, and seminal Los Angeles club Basic. While DJing is their first commitment, Jimmy has also started to use his creativity in the music studio. His first release, "Space Jam" featuring a remix by the esteemed Matt Tolfrey, is currently out on Damian Lazarus's Crosstown Rebels sub-label, "RebelLion".
The summer of 2010 has seen the duo start their own brand, Plastic Love. A way for them to flex their respective DJ muscles, Plastic Love is a series of events and podcasts consisting of distinguished global artists that let the music speak for themselves; specializing in disco, house, techno, acid, and everything in between.
