Summer may already seem like a distant memory for some of us, but for a lucky few the Stop Making Sense Festival (SMS) in Petrcane, Croatia is a last chance to get some beautiful Adriatic sun and sea while dancing to some damn fine electronic music. Set at the Garden festival venue this woody peninsula is truly the perfect spot for some well deserved hedonism. With DJs and live sets from 6pm until 6am every night this is a 3 day party not to be missed. The Festival was created by the team behind Manchester's legendary Electric Chair club and combines a tasteful mix of local UK and international talent, with a special eye for newcomers. If you want to hear what bands and acts will be hot very soon this is where to start. The Phantom Band will be headlining the main stage, the folk and acoustic sounds or Table and Hannah Peel shouldn't be missed and Norway's Balearic disco king Todd Terje will get your hips wiggling. Unfortunately we're stuck at work and wont be able to enjoy the beaches, sun and beautiful setting of Petrcane, but at least we can enjoy the music!.

Wellington’s (New Zealand) prime club Sandwiches will be celebrating its 7th Birthday on the 20th and 21st August. It'll be a meaty double whopper with plenty of pickle but certainly no cheese. Friday features Dutch heavyweights Dem Slacker and Mightyfools and loads of local talent spinning Nu Rave and electro and Saturday gets bass heavy with dubstep and drum & bass on the menu.
